The weather was terrible. Once into the mountain there was mist, heavy rain and wind. It was very dangerous. The bus had to keep stopping to clear fallen rocks off the road. Very scary and unpleasant trip. The tui rep later said the trip should have been cancelled due to the conditions. It was so pointless taking visitors up in those conditions. We saw nothing. It was just a money making scam. But as I said it was very dangerous and one day if this practice continues some1 will ge hurt

We felt this trip should have been cancelled due to bad weather in the mountains - cloud ,strong winds and horizontal rain. Very disappointed as a long drive up to see nothing of what should have been spectacular views- they must have known with now good forecasting that it would be like this. I went last year and enjoyed it so much I was keen to take my friend- what a disappointment. The guide was also worried about road being closed in which case we would have had to turn back.

6.5 hours on a coach. Should have been cancelled as rock falls on road which driver had to clear as bus too big to turnaround. No proper planned lunch stop apart from disappointing marker stop. Cafe stop not long enough to use loos and have a drink. Cloud and rain made it worse as no views. Please Tui. Cancel such trips in future if weather is bad.

The views from the top are spectacular and the coach driver was excellent negotiating all the hairpin bends. It was a long day and a long journey back but worth it to see the most recent volcano.

We really enjoyed the day and the guide and driver were excellent. The tip to take some food with you was good as only the farmers market was available to buy food and a short stop on the way back but that wasn't until 4.30pmThe views etc were spectacular and the only downside of the whole day was the fact we left the hotel at 8 30am and didn't get back until 6 30pm

Wunderschöne Tagestour über Serpentinen bis zum Gipfel Roque de los Muchachos. Unbedingt warme Sachen mitnehmen, wir sind bei 21 Grad losgefahren und hatten 5 Grad auf dem Gipfel, der stellenweise mit Schnee bedeckt war. Der Abstecher zum Besucherzentrum des Observatoriums war toll ,aber viel zu kurz. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut top !! Unser Guide war aus Belgien und hat die gesamte Gruppe in tadellosen Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch informiert.

Wir hatten Rudi als Guide der alles super erklärt hat. Er hat jede Frage beantwortet. Außerdem hatten wir richtig Glück mit dem Wetter es war bei 2426Meter ein strahlender Sonnenschein und so konnten wir die weite genießen . Auch der Blick auf den Vulkan war topp. Rudi hatte richtig gute Stellen zum Photo machen. Der ganze Tag war perfekt

Der Aufenthalt beim Bauernmarkt war etwas entäuschend. Als wir ankamen war schon fast alles vorbei und einige Stände wurden bereits abgebaut und die Auslagen waren leer. Diese Zeit hätte ich lieber im Bereich des Observatoriums verbracht. Ansonsten tolle Ausfahrt.

The day was too long . Not enough time spent at the observatory the experienced was rushed . The farmers market was a waste of time & should be dropped from the tour . We arrived as it was packing up , we couldn’t get suitable refreshment … why would I want produce on an all inclusive holiday? We should have stopped at a restaurant with a view . The last stop wasn’t necessary& half the coach didn’t get off to look another volcano as they had had enough . The day was too long .

Everything was great and Cuin the guide was brilliant and very knowledgeable. The Farmers Market we felt was a waste of time. We got there about an hour before it closed, there was very little left to see or eat. I understand the constraints of time but I think everyone else was of the same opinion. We were all ready to get back on the bus.

Die Tour zum Roque de los Muchachos kann man nur empfehlen. Unser Guide Kuhn war sehr kompetent, äußerst freundlich und er hat uns interessante Einblicke und Informationen über La Palma vermittelt und das in zwei Sprachen (Englisch und deutsch). Wir haben einen sehr kompakten ersten Überblick über die Insel auf dieser Tagestour erhalten. Die Pausen zum Fotografieren und Kaffeetrinken waren optimal bemessen. Ein großes Lob gilt auch dem Fahrer.

Kompetenter, freundlicher Guide (euer Belgier). Nicht zu viele, aber genau die richtigen Infos. Gute Auswahl der Ausflugsziele, für mich zeitlich zu eng getaktet. Hätte mir z.B. mehr Zeit gewünscht für das Besucherzentrum auf dem Roque de los Muchachos, aber bei einem Tag ist wohl auch nicht viel mehr drin. Insgesamt sehr gelungen und das Wetter war auch perfecto!

A little more time at observatory museum would have allowed a more full tour but excellent driving by Pablo on hairpin bends and commentary by Rudi was excellent -informative and humourous.He is very welcoming and open to questions and makes the tour fun and educational.

Die Landschaft und die angefahrenen Punkte sind beeindruckend und gut ausgewählt. Die Straßen zum und vom Roque de los Muchachos sind abenteuerlich und sehr kurvenreich. Empfindlichen Menschen würden wir Reisetabletten empfehlen. Trotz der zahlreichen, oft extrem engen Kurven und auf der Straße liegender Steine ist unser Busfahrer so vorsichtig gefahren, dass man sich immer sicher gefühlt hat. Was verbessert werden könnte, ist die Aufenthaltsdauer im Besucherzentrum. Das war zu kurz.

We really enjoyed seeing a lot of La Palma. But that ment at times if was a little rushed .. For example the observatory visitors centre, no time for half what was there. But we had to get to the farmers market for the last hour, and most of their cakes had already been sold..

Die Tour in die Berge war für mich ein Highlight. Unser Guide Koen und der Busfahrer David haben exzellente Arbeit geleistet. Koen erzählte uns auf Deutsch und Englisch viel Interessantes über die Insel. Der Roque de los Muchachos ist atemberaubend schön und der Bauernmarkt mit lokalen Produkten war auch einen Besuch wert. Verbesserungsvorschlag: Im Besucherzentrum des Observatoriums wurden wir in 25 Min. "durchgejagt" - hier hätte ich mir mehr Zeit gewünscht (ca. 1 Stunde).

This was an excellent tour and we got to see so much of the island. It’s really worth it if you want to see Mountain View’s. One thing I would say is I wonder if it tries to do too much? There were a few places we didn’t seem to visit and it felt we were behind schedule so they adjusted things to suit. We didn’t miss much but I don’t think we stopped in the place white buildings. One thing to note is the pictures are out of date. The images with the gorge and Wooden fences are now modern glass

It would have been better if we could spend at least an hour at each location. Particularly the crater, as it took so long to get there and 30 mins was barely enough to soak the atmosphere in. The guide’s social and political perspectives were also bordering on inappropriate, as a lot of it was gender stereotypes and made some people really quite uncomfortable

The trip offered some amazing views of the both of the island. The driver did an amazing job on the roads up the volcano and the guides knowledge was extensive. The only two negatives I have are that we were on the coach far more than we were off it, this included driving for an hour across the island to collect other guests then back again. I would also have liked more than just half an hour at the summit and the observatory. This felt a little rushed given how long it took to get there.

Superb guide. Brilliant opportunity to see a lot of this beautiful island and learn so much about it. Inevitably there is quite a lot of time on the coach and some of the roads are very bendy in order to gain the height, but the views are worth it.

Doordat de touringcar twee keer pech kreeg en daarom twee keer een vervangende bus moest komen, veel extra tijd verloren gegaan aan wachten. De eerste keer 50 minuten de tweede keer 60 minuten. In totaal in 5 bussen gezeten, de drie bussen van 'tui', Een lijnbus die ons naar een uitzichtpunt afzette en een transferbus om eerder bij het hotel te zijn. Te weinig tijd voor het bezoek aan het observatorium, jammer De tocht kwam door de vertraging te laat bij de boerenmarkt, ze gingen al opruimen.

The trip was an amazing way to explore and understand the island. There were ample rest stops along the way and time spent at each enough to really take in the stunning views and be able to ask questions. Our guide Rudi was fantastic and shared so much history and anecdotes to keep everyone engaged and our driver Nacho was honestly the most skilled coach driver, he deserves a full round of applause for navigating some of the hairpin turns. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Er was van te voren gezegd dat je bij het National Parque een stukje kon wandelen. We kregen daar 15 minuten, veel te kort, kon het pad nog eens helemaal aflopen. Bij Mirador El Time kregen we 40 minuten om een barraquito te kunnen drinken ( zelf kopen en met alcohol). Echt commercieel! Ik wil volgend jaar een groepsreis buiten Europa boeken via TUI, maar ga nu écht twijfelen. Ik ga voor de beleving van het moment, ontspanning en niet voor (te korte) fotomomentjes!! Echt heel jammer! Mvg Loes

Brilliant selection of places visited, good knowledge of the locations, some history and interesting titbits , a lovely guide, brilliant coach drivers (skills) ,really enjoyed it. Only suggestion 8 could make is to say you could try and arrange a visit to the actual observatory Donne as part of it in connection with the s identification staff, that would sell really well

Great trip really informative guide Cuin. We should have been warned about the travel as my partner suffered motion sickness was up the mountain with the narrow windy roads. Children were sick also!The arrival at the market is useless as it is closing and all stalls have no products left meaning there is no lunch available or anything. We should have been told to bring a packed lunch and water because this was difficult to purchase! The travel home was also bad going down to the princess hotel!

Die Tour war für mich ein Erlebnis, zum einem die ausgewählte Orte waren sehr interessant somit konnte ich und meine Frau viel mehr über die Insel erfahren als wir schon wussten. Ein Top für uns war der Reiseleiter (Man aus Belgien, habe sein Name vergessen), was er für Informationsmengen an uns weitergegeben hat aus verschiedenen Gebieten das hat unsere Neugier gestillt. Die angenehme Stimme und Ruhe in Erzählungen hat dafür gesorgt dass ich mit Großem Interesse jeden Satz verfolgt Habe.

I unfortunately had sickness the night before and was very unwell on the morning of the trip, TUI would not offer any refund / partial refund or another trip. This trip only goes once a week and my family and I were very disappointed to miss it especially due to illness experienced at their hotel. Poor customer service.

The guide (Rudy) was very informative, some really interesting facts and knowledge passed over to us. The coach journey was very long but we did expect it because Jay (TUI Rep) told us before we booked. The time we stopped at the local market was pretty pointless because the market was virtually shutting by the time we got there and nothing really was left for us consumers to buy. The Astro physics and astronomy part of the tour was very interesting and informative along with the volcano part

je ziet de eerst de noordkant (en mooiste kant) van het eiland en je hoort veel informatie. Onze gids (Rudy) sprak erg duidelijk en gaf interessante feiten. Over de sterrenkunde wat te veel informatie voor mij. We zijn ook over het terrein van de laatste vulkaanuitbarsting gereden (met een stop om de lava van dichtbij te zien.)

Although I marked the overall experience 10/10 the farmers market part of the tour was disappointing we arrived at 14:00 aprox for a lunch hour stop but there was no food available and the market was closing down at 15:00 so empty shelves greated us luckily we had taken with us a small snack You would think that every Sunday at that time a coach with 50ish hungry people on board would be worth catering for I also noticed a new restaurant in the process of being built maybe for next year

A fantastic excursion. Over 250km through the mountains Breathtaking views. Excellent guide and driver, plenty of interesting stops including entrance to astronomy centre Which would cost £17€ per person if you went on your own. I would definitely recommend this trip, it’s well worth the money!

From start to finish an excellent day . Lots to see and do A real insight to La Palma and its rugged landscape Incredible going above the clouds and looking down on the planetariums . Going back to do the night tour as so good. Seeing the volcanic eruption from 2021 and to see the devastation from above and below gives you a real sense of what it must have been like for the local community. Our driver David was a saint on all the bendy roads , I felt very safe and a shout goes out to Rhudi .

Hervorragend war der RL, die Erklärungen auf Englisch waren sehr gut zu verstehen und sollte es mal Fragen geben, war er auch bereit, außerhalb des Busses auf deutsch zu erklären. Er hat die ganze Tour über hervorragende Infos geliefert. Ebenfalls hervorragend die Fahrleistung des Busfahrers durch die engen Serpentinen. Schade fand ich, das nicht mehr Zeit auf dem Roque de los Muchachos war

There was very little time for anyone that is a slow walker to make it to the top of the rock and back to the coach in the time allocated. Two coaches arrived at the same time so there were too many people trying to pass along the same pathway.

Wir waren eine kleinere Gruppe, Engländer, Belgier und Deutsche Unser Guide war Rudi, Deutscher, Die Tour war auf Englisch ausgeschrieben man hat aber gesagt bei der Buchung das auch ein wenig Deutsch erklärt wird Aber Rudi hat sich trotz zweimaliger Aussprache geweigert Deutsch zu sprechen, selbst die Zeitangaben für die Abfahrt von den Sehenswürdigkeiten hat er nicht auf Deutsch gesagt, was manche von uns nicht verstanden haben Die Aufenthalte waren auch immer sehr knapp bemessen 0Punkte Rudi

Needed more time at the astronomy visitor centre and less time at the market. Why give us an hour free time at a market from 2pm when it closes at 3pm? Most of the food stalls had sold out and the market itself isn't very big. Timing needs to be reviewed.

Door de Engelstalige begeleiding missen wij nogal eens een clou. Wel begrijpelijk. We zien op La Palma weinig landgenoten (NL). Het astronomische observatorium leek ons vooraf bijvangst en was achteraf indrukwekkend. Jammer dat er verder geen uitleg was bij het tentoongestelde. De Spaanstalige film (8 minuten) was qua taalbarrière ook een dingetje. Door de grootte van het scherm en de afstand tot de Engelse ondertiteling misten we prachtige beelden. Eigenlijk zou je 'm 2x moeten kunnen zien.

Amazing viewpoints and the visits to the national park and observatories. Getting the insights into the 21 volcano was particularly interesting. Visit to the farmers market was less essential but a pretty village and needed for a facility stop

Really enjoyed the day. Lot of coach time though but to cover the island we knew we have. A very interesting tour and a guide that was very informative. His speech sometimes confused us a little but his English was very good non the less. The observatory was really interesting, as was the diversity of the island and its terrain. It also showed us how different the climate can be from one place to the next. Rain, snow and sunshine all in one day. Worth the trip if you don't mind coaches.

Good insight into the island relevant to the tour. Knowledgeable guide who imparted information in a clear and concise way. The highlight was seeing the amazing telescopes plus the astronomical visitor centre. I would suggest longer here in order to appreciate more of what it has to offer although, if it is thought necessary to visit the 'new' volcano, this would not be possible.

Rudi als Reiseführer ist allererste Sahne. Klares Englisch auch für Deutsche gut verständlich. Genügend Zeit an allen Orten. Leider war das Wetter nicht prickelnd, die Stimmung trotzdem wg. Rudi hervorragend. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We loved the excursion, our guide Kun was incredibly knowledgeable and our driver very accomplished in challenging driving conditions. The only criticism would be that we felt the lunch stop at the farmers market was too long. This could’ve been shortened to allow more time on the mountain. Overall very enjoyable!

Interesting and enjoyable day that gave us a good overall view of the island, however, we were disappointed to be so rushed over a couple of the stops, in particular the last viewing spot cafe, the observatory stop could have been shorted. It would have been helpful to be advised of the low temp at our first. The farmers market should have been earlier, given the closing time and how many stalls had sold out.

Extraordinary place - the observatory. Wonderful views. Excellent driving and guide. Only issue that the farmer's market was a waste of time as there was no food left! Luckily, we had taken a picnic. People should be warned. I would prefer that we are picked up at our hotel - it is further than it looks to H10 as it is uphill and we have to mess about allowing plenty of time and making sure we use the loo at the other hotel. Would not be ideal for someone with impaired mobility.

Our guide, Rudi, was very knowledgeable and passed on lots of interesting information. Gabriel, the driver, was incredible! We saw amqzing views from the top and marvelled at the extensive array of observatories. Learning about the new volcano and seeing it's trajectory and devastation was very educational. We were also very glad we had taken plenty to eat as the trip lasted for 8.5 hours and, the market was closing as we arrived. No other food opps. I'm. glad I wore my travel wrist bands.

Excellent info from guide Koen tho he talked for almost all the trip! Sometimes you just want to sit back & enjoy the views. Views magnificent. Perhaps a bit more time at final bar/cafe stop - there was an excellent, classy souvenir shop next to the bar but after getting a coffee, no time to look in it. Also more time at observatory visitor centre needed.

Jay the Tui rep was absolutely amazing. I was apprehensive about going on the trip as I suffer from travel sickness but Jay managed to reserve the front row seating so I could just look straight ahead out of the front window. Thankfully I was able to enjoy the whole trip. Also Ankel our coach driver was fantastic and we all felt in safe hands at all times. Khun the guide was very knowledgeable and and enthusiastic which made for a fantastic trip. He also kept us safe. Top guide! .

Carmelo our driver was really careful taking the bends up and down the mountain. Rudy our guide was great giving commentary in English & German. He was very knowledgable about all of the island. The observatories, the video and visitors centre were fascinating. We travelled on to the farmers market for a coffee, picnic. We then went south past the beaches & the banana plantations to the newly formed volcano where we stopped again for a Birds Eye view of the lava. Great day out. Thanks to Rudy.

Der Ausflug hat insgesamt 9 Stunden gedauert. Jeder Abschnitt war gut getimed. Der Reiseleiter Rudi hat die Informationen gut vermittelt, erst in Englisch, danach auch auf Deutsch. Der Busfahrer hat eine sensationelle Leistung vollbracht. Die vielen Serpentinen auf den Roce de los Muchatschos hoch zu den Teleskopen. Es lag Schnee, es war Sonntag, Hochbetrieb. Uns mit dem großen Bus da durchzuführen. Hochachtung!.

A great day to see the whole island and the different aspects of it. Lots of interesting information provided by Rudy and the driver Antonio was excellent - Glad we made a sandwich from the buffet at breakfast to take with us. And that we had the advice from the rep to dress in warm clothes - we went just after Xmas and there was snow on the top :)

A lot of driving so be prepared for a lot of time in the coach - necessary to get to the further out places to see which were great and worth the distance. Weather wasn’t great which was a shame as view from Observatory was limited, but on a clear day would have been impressive Tour guide Rudi is great, nice guy and very knowledgeable about island.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the island. There was lots to see and our guide (Kun?) made the the whole day very interesting with lots of information about the island, its natural history, geography and highlights. It was a long day but went very quickly with plenty of stops for facilities. We really could not have asked for more, apart from less clouds at the summit of the island, we will just have to go back again ??

Great trip all round. Shame the mountains were in cloud at the top but you can't control the weather. Great views all the way up though . Be prepared for a full day and take food and drink. Farmers market starting to close as we arrived hence take your own lunch. Fascinating drive across the recent lava flow and stunning views throughout the trip. Would go again.

Our guide was superb from start to finish. Even though it was foggy on the Roque de los Muchachos and we couldn't see much there, we still found the trip very informative and interesting, particularly driving through the most recent volcanic lava fields. The coach driver was superb too at manoeuvring round the many bends. A trip well worth doing.

Beim Markt 15 Minuten länger, dann hätte man in Ruhe essen, trinken und kaufen können. Teilweise gab es Schlangen, da hat man sich überlegt, etwas zu bestellen. Man musste ja such wieder zum Bus hochlsufen und die Minuten einkalkulieren. Die Ausführungen des Guides waren sehr gut und informativ und passten sehr gut zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten. Der Busfahrer war sehr gut und ich habe mich immer sicher gefühlt, ich saß hinter ihm und musste manchmal die Augen schließen , weil die Kurvrn so eng ware

Our guide Rudi was very informative; he has lived on the island for 40 years. We enjoyed the various view points, looking in the visitor centre and seeing the telescopes and the farmers market. We also saw the new 2021 volcano and got some good photos of the pine trees amongst the volcanic ash. We saw pine trees which has been burnt in last year’s fires but we learnt that the Canarian pine does not die and although the trunks of the trees were black, the green pine needles had grown back.

Er was ruim de tijd om de bezienswaardigheden te bezoeken en te bekijken. De gids vertelde tijdens de busreis enorm veel wetenswaardigheden over het eiland. Los van de prachtige en interessante dingen die we hebben gezien zijn we ook heel veel te weten gekomen over La Palma. Echt een aanrader, en ze hebben echt moeite gedaan om er een mooie dag van te maken

Goed geregeld maar te korte pauze voor lunch op de boerenmarkt. Indrukwekkende kennis van zaken en vertel energie van gids Rudi . Super fijne rijstijl chauffeur met al die bochten en afgronden!!! En helemáál tof dat hij terug is gekomen om mijn vergeten mobiel bij de receptie af te leveren ??

Rudi is an excellent guide with a vast amount of interesting information and very willing to answer questions. At the end of the day, when we were all tired, guests from Los Canjacos had to trail all the way down to the Princess Hotel and back again. This was a very bad end to an otherwise very good day. Please try and sort out a better way of doing this.

We vonden het een top excursie. Verder niks op aan te merken. Fijn dat we op deze manier een heel groot deel van het eiland hebben kunnen zien + hele goede info over het eiland. Complimenten aan Pablo de chauffeur die werkelijk keurig netjes ons heeft gereden door al die smalle bergpassen. Ook de Complimenten aan Rudy de gids die heel veel wist te vertellen over het eiland

The rainforest, banana plantation and rum distillery were all brilliant! Our guide Rudi was a source of information and had so much knowledge to pass on. It was clear how passionately he feels about the island. The Charo Azul looked pretty, but was extremely dangerous! Many times the lifeguard had to quickly pull people out of the water and at one point had to close the pool due to safety reasons. I don't think tourists, or anyone, should swim in it.

Wir haben viele wertvolle und eindrückliche Informationen zur Insel, dem Leben der Menschen, der wirtschaftlichen Aufstellung und der vielfältigen Natur (Pflanzenwelt, Sterne, Vulkane usw.) erhalten. Die Fahrt war kurzweilig mit auflockernden Haltepunkten zum Erleben und Teilhaben. Auch meine 10 jährige Tochter fand es interessant.

Unfortunately we had a very cloudy day so we couldn’t get a clear view of the lenses. I would recommend taking a jumper or a coat as such a vast difference in temperature at the top of the mountain. A very informative centre about the lenses. Our guide Rudi was great and knowledgeable about the island. Also what an experience being a passenger in the coach winding our way up and down the mountain - brilliant driver

Good value for money for a full day tour, more toilet stops required especially the first part as was quite a long journey up to the top of the mountain, guide was very knowledgeable but not particularly friendly, had to walk to another hotel to pick up the bus, would have been nicer to have been picked up from our hotel

The whole day was excellent. Rudy is a professional guide and provided useful information about the past, present, culture and sights including the 2021 volcano. He explained the logistics of the day and made it clear when there would be toilets so people could plan! The roads are incredibly winding but our driver (Joseph?) was excellent and we felt safe. Unfortunately some folk were travel sick, but that's to be expected. Take a jacket, good footwear, water and, if needed, nausea medication.

Excellent trip showing the best of La Palma eg the highest point, the dramatic views, the Observatories, the recent volcanic eruption with its impact up close etc. Driver, David was fantastic as so careful around the many bends with no sharp braking. Our guide, Rudi knew so much about the island and made the various places come alive and was willing to answer any questions. A worthwhile experience. Thank you.

We took a packed lunch which meant we could spend the lunch break stop walking around San Andres which is a pretty (but small) village. Plenty of benches to sit and eat in the square. Also a little pub near the restaurant stop. On our trip we went to the Charco Azul pools (can have coffee in a nearby restaurant) banana plantations and rum tasting before lunch. All very enjoyable and very good value for money. Chilled pace.

3 problems I hope you will address. 1 Many guests were desperate for the loo, esp those picked up from the Princess. It was a very long time before the first comfort stop and it resulted in people popping off behind bushes. 2 The coach was full. The pick up at H10 left couples struggling to get seats together. Single travellers expected a window seat and the spare seat for their bags. Couples should be able to sit together. 3 lunch stop was hopeless, too late, empty stalls, no food

It was a very crowded bus which you and it meant as we were the lady pick up there weren't seats together.. Sadly the weather prevented us from seeing anything at Roque de Muchachos Because of the itinerary there didn't seem any flexibility in going back later in the day to see if the weather had cleared. As this was a central feature of tbe tour it was disappointing. The guide was very knowledgeable about La Palma and a character .Despite the lack of view it was still interesting.

The trip to the new volcano was excellent as was the visit to the observatory visitor centre. The market stop was very disappointing as it was supposed to be where we ate but they’d no food left so we were hungry for the rest of the day.
