Essentially, if staying in the Ocho Rios area, you are paying £30 for a short ride to the falls. The falls are spectacular, but suggest just getting a taxi. This isn’t a tour, just a bus to the falls and back with very limited time there.

I really enjoyed this trip. It was a short distance from the hotel I was staying at, about a 5-10 minute drive. George, the driver was courteous and gave directions about what to expect and how to deal with craft sellers, which was useful. The TUI staff at the hotel was helpful and able to sort out my ticket which I booked through the TUI app. However, for some excursions the driver may need a printout or screenshot of the ticket for entrance. I think this info needs to be clearer.

The experience itself was fantastic and we were super lucky it wasn’t a cruise ship day so the falls were quieter than usual. We still had to keep stopping and waiting though for groups infront to move onwards, smaller groups with bigger gaps would be better. Our guide on the bus was great at pointing out sights enroute, as well as keeping us entertained. What we didn’t like was the pushy sales-people on exit, trying to get you to buy souvenirs and the staff waiting at the bus for us to tip them

It was a very enjoyable event, there were some groups of people and our guide made sure we all stayed together. They were very safety conscious. We held hands everyone helped each other. Pedro was our guide and was very clear and helpful. Lionel took the videos and photos and was entertaining too. The instructions on the day could have mentioned that there would be waterproof phone camera cases available to buy. Although I would have been worried about losing it. ??.

Loved this trip! The price gets you transport into the falls with a guide and entry. Lockers are $10US whilst you’re there and there are plenty of places to eat and drink on the site. Guides are good fun and the bus driver was excellent and very knowledgable. All round an excellent trip.

Dunn’s river is a must do. The tour guide and driver, Kevin and Delroy were excellent and kept a long journey there interesting. Then our guide up the falls was amazing nothing was too much trouble for him. You have to walk through a craft market to exit but they didn’t hassle us too much. Overall one of the best trips we have been on.

Did not like the market stall sellers and all the others dotted around trying to scam tourists! They are rude if you say no! I only walked up the side & was quite capable of doing so myself but someone who I presumed was staff said to me he would guide me through. But he then wanted money for this and it was literally just walking up the stairs! The beach & falls itself are absolutely stunning. Tour guide took us to very expensive shop saying it was cheapest on island, as all the guides do!!

Super impressed with the tour guide kevin he told us a bit of Jamaican history as we travelled to our destination and actually took the time out to get to know all our names which added to our experience. Dunns River falls is a beautiful place with breath taking veiws a must for all to visit i would definitely recommend this excursion. A huge thank you Kevin.

Guide didn’t turn up to collect us and TUI refusing refund despite us being at pick up point early. Would recommend booking with someone else as the Dunn’s tour is very good, just a shame TUI guide didn’t collect us. We booked with JTL Jamaica tours and they were excellent.

The whole experience was nice had a great time at Dunn river falls.The group felt let down because we didn’t get any time to spend on the beach only 1hr to climb the falls from the time we got there. Also there was an additional wait time for a tour guide to pick us up at Dunn river before starting the climb,which took time away from our driver and guide 1hr allocation time to be picked up.

It took us 3.5 hours to get there (on maps it was 1.5 hours from hotel). We were made to stop off at a random shop on the way there which felt unnecessary as we paid to see the Falls, not shop. It also felt that this was purely to scam us into spending money, as we were told by the person in the shop that we had to buy water shoes from there as they “wouldn’t let us in otherwise” (this was completely false!). Dunn’s waterfall itself was good, our guide was lovely. Shame the transport let it down

The tour was amazing, worth the money and time. Picked up from runaway bay and takes roughly 30 minutes to get to the falls - we had a mixed tour (others going shopping) so stopped at Gem Palace so that tour could get out and allowed anyone who didn’t have water shoes or waterproof phone cases to buy from the shop. The tour and guide itself at Dunns River Falls was amazing and I would do it again! They have lockers for valuables $8-10 cash. Recommend to buy photos at the end (card or cash).

A good fun day, helped by the knowledgeable and friendly guide Kevin. Water shoes are a must to climb up the falls, we witnessed people try it in crocs and flip flops which soon got washed away.

Enjoyed Dunns very much, our guide MJ and videographer Ricardo were awesome. Highly recommend and a must do activity whilst in Jamaica. The mini market area on the way out can be intimidating for some but just make it clear you’re not interested if you’re not. Tips are appreciated too.

Fantastic location, our tour guide Denise was very good, gave us loads of local information about Montego Bay and how to careful with the locals at the craft market, the guide on the waterfalls was amazing, always making sure everyone was safe and the photo guy was helpful too, would recommend the photos and video as a keepsake all in all a really good excursion

being dropped at a tourist shop so that the rep/driver could earn a commission from the sales at shop and numbering all the people going into the shop, the shop then charging more than the ticket price of the item was clearly the commission to rep and driver, whilst they drove off to pick up one last pickup. delayed the journey and thus return time to hotel. we paid for the trip so if the driver and rep not paid enough reflect it in the ticket price.

This was definitely an experience to say the least the hike is such an incredible thing to do whilst in Jamaica however be prepared for a hike! It involves a lot of team work and our group and tour guide wear amazing!

Travel time said approx 1.5 hours to destination and took 2.5 hours plus bus was approx 15 mins late picking up. No one to advise on late transport etc. Be better if a rep was there ready for transport picking up for excursions to update customers

Our guide was very informative she went over the whole history of Jamaica making sure to talk us through the different districts of Jamaica making the long ride from Montego bay to falls fun. The overall excursion was fantastic and was a real experience and the falls where absolutely beautiful.

Enjoyed spending time at the waterfall & the option to climb all, part or none. Lots of viewing platforms on route. Guide was helpful & knowledgeable. We stopped at a shop beforehand under the guise to get changed for the experience but this was just a way to try to flog us stuff & was out of our way to get there. Was unnecessary. Felt the demanding of tips was over the top from the guide, photographer, tour rep & driver. It’s spoilt it for us. Long trip 7-8hrs from our location.

The experience was amazing, however the 3 hours it took to get to the falls wasn’t good. Why do we have to go to duty free shops for 45 minutes? We didn’t get off the coach because it didn’t feel safe! We did t want to go shopping we just wanted to go to the falls! We also didn’t feel comfortable having to walk back through the craft market where sellers were pushy. I wouldn’t recommend this trip with you to anyone abs I am a travel agent.

Quite a challenge as we were a group of 4 all over 60 but guide was fantastic and always at hand when we needed support. We were so glad we did this experience and felt a great sense of achievement. Changing facilities and lockers available on site. Take a bottle of water for after as climb takes about 90 minutes from start to finish. Highly recommend this trip

I would like to say a big thank you to the guide( Kevin) and the driver(Clive) who made the whole experience worthwhile. Kevin the guide was very informative and knowledgeable and certainly knew his stuff. Any questions were answered with ease. He gave great history of Jamaica in what time he had and I found this fascinating learning about the past. Anyone doing a tour here,then I hope tour lucky enough to have Kevin and Clive.

Me and my kids had a great time climbing the falls. Our driver got us there ahead of the cruise ship passengers and had a quiet climb. If we had got there later it would have been a bit manic! We didn’t bother with a guide. The route to the start was clearly signposted and it was fairly easy to climb with water shoes. The water was rushing down fast as it rained recently which made it tricky in places. I like that there were exits dotted up the falls so you could quit or rest if needed.

Pick up was at 8:25, but the driver was told 9:00, not a great start! On the way we were taken to a 'gift' shop to try local rum and make gift purchases. It was our 1st trip so we went along. Overpriced items and rum is approx $100 a bottle (on Amazon, retail $25!!). Tour guide was informative but very full on and laboured low wage. Dunns River was great fun, would highly reccommend! Photographer follows you round if you want pics, but is $40 for images, so take waterproof pouch and phone.

Fab day, the only downside is that once you complete the falls you are but through a craft market to get back to bus in your swim wear while getting approached by many different people trying to sell you things. The guide and driver were great ??

The experience was great value for money, much cheaper than those from other providers. Tour guide and driver were great, really informative with local knowledge on the way there and tips for safety at the falls. Quick stop on way there for sea shoes and phone protectors, cheap shop. Falls were beautiful and guides were great. Easy to walk through the market without purchasing if not wanted.

The whole holiday was amazing, there was nothing I didn't enjoy, apart from coming home. Thank you for recommending the hotel it was worth every penny, the food, entertainment, staff, and cleanliness was 10 out of 10. 1 person inperticular that made our holiday was called starfire part of the entertainment team she was amazing.

Firstly the Falls are amazing, the guide and video man had a good sense of humour. Park was tidy and well maintained. However, at the end of the excursion when leaving the park you have to go through a market and the sellers are very pushy and will follow you until you leave the area. Unless you are firm you’ll end up with very expensive rubbish… you have been warned

Over the time spent at Dunns River Falls was great. The negative being that we stopped at a convenience stop and wasted over 30 mins ‘rum tasting’ to then being pressured to purchase alcohol that was triple the price in the airport for smaller bottles. Do not fall for this shop. TUI should check the itinerary of this trip as we were not aware we would be stopping for such shop. Unprofessional and felt like we were taken advantage of. Rep clearly knew what she was doing & probably got a kick back

The transportation guide to Dunns river take you to a so called tax free shop before going to dunns river, this shop was more expensive than buying the water shoes and alcohol. I was recommended to buy a bottle of rum for 40 dollars but at the airport that same bottle was 15 dollars, I felt I was taken advantage of.

From getting picked up to getting dropped back off at the hotel it was smooth sailing. The tour guide on the bus was very knowledgeable and made the journey to the Dunns River Falls an interesting one. Also our driver Jeffrey was great and interacted with everyone on the bus. Our guide at the falls was excellent along with moose the camera guy. It was busy at the falls day we went but we still enjoyed every minute. Cannot fault our experience and would totally recommend giving this one a try.

Great helpful staff supporting you at the falls throughout your trip. Lots of fun and the sense of achievement by the end of the climb. My only criticism is that the jerk chicken lunch was not served till 330, so it really is not lunch and the quality of the food was poor. So the dance falls climb was really really good fun and worth doing but would suggest you skip the late lunch.

The trip to Dunns River Falls was very good and a guide took us down to the bottom so we could walk back up at our own speed and get some great photos of the falls on the way. This was much better than holding hand with the whole group and climbing up the falls in swimming gear.

To book was hassle free from pick up it took 2 hours to the falls perhaps make that more apparent prior to booking when getting to the falls the whole experience takes about 1 hour you have a tour guide who rushes you along and a videographer who charges $40 we are still waiting the video to be sent when you finish you are constantly hounded to buy souvenirs for how long you are there the constant pestering and no video footage it was a very overpriced experience glad I have done and not repeat

We had a brilliant guide he was great took time to take individual photos for all our group. The falls were a brilliant experience. The only downside is it’s about 2 hour drive from Montego Bay. But in my opinion well worth the trip.

This is a great "must do"experience, but it's not for the faint hearted!! You'll need to be fairly fit to do it as you are literally walking 960 feet up a waterfall (you'll also need suitable footwear). My only criticism is that you don't get long enough to explore after you've completed the walk. It's straight back to the transfer & back to the hotel.

The experience of the falls was simply amazing. The guides do seem to rush you up the falls with little time for taking photos / videos of the experience. This is probably done to encourage the purchase of the photos/Video they take. Also, once at the top the guide very quickly leaves you to figure your own way out. I didn't like that the only route out was through the market stalls and no matter how much you say no they traders simply don't give up.

Dunns River Falls is stunningly beautiful, well kept, breathtaking and fun for all. I booked the tour on the TUI app for myself and 3 kids but over 12yrs is adult. Could have got it for much less if booked direct with Dunns River and got a taxi for the 6 minute journey. Guide rushed us thru the falls and didn't give us enough opportunity to take our own photos. Bought expensive £40 photo/video pack which wasn't worth the price. The few photos we managed to take ourselves were much better.

The trip says half day trip but this simply isn't true. We were picked up at 8.30 and despite only 3 further pickups, we didn't get to the falls until 12.30. It was only a 2 hour drive and there was no traffic. This would have been a much shorter journey if they hadn't taken us 40 mins past the Falls to a souvenir shop in Ocho Rios which isn't mentioned in the description. When at the falls we had a group size of 32 which led to confusion going up the falls and a somewhat rushed experience.

Didn't get much detailed information about the trip beforehand - would have been much better if we had been told that we could leave our things on the bus, to take a waterproof camera case, that water shoes were mandatory - instead of being taken to a shop and people being forced to buy them. Was taken to a shop which added 40min to the trip that wasn't mentioned in the trip description. Also trip is described as a half day trip - we were away from hotel for at least 5 hours.

We were picked up and 8am and did not arrive at the falls until 12. The coach was too big and there were far too many pick-ups. At some stops we were waiting for around 10- 15 minutes for people. we then queued for quite a while at the falls filling out disclaimers and signing in so all it took almost 5 hours to spend 45 minutes climbing the fall. there was no time to relax on the beach or just chill for a while. The falls are 100 percent worth a visit but you take alternative transport.

The guide staff were a little bit too bossy, always blowing the whistle and shouting. Then the video company were in your face wanting you to cheer etc.. I wanted tranquility and serenity as I observed the surroundings. The place itself was wonderful and the experience of climbing up was great. The transport insisted I couldn’t climb using my really good trail running shoes and even drove me to a shop and told me I had to go buy water shoes from his friends shop. I didn’t need them!

Climbing the falls was really enjoyable, the beach at the bottom of the falls is nice and there as a small craft market area on the site. Don’t accept any ‘gifts’ from vendors, they will want paying. Avoid Wednesday as the cruise ships dock making the queues to climb the falls ridiculous, it was ultra busy & we queued for an hour!

We enjoyed our visit, as I have walking issues I had my own guide who took pics for me, he was awesome named Nelson so kind made sure I was ok all the time I made sure I tipped him good, I went in the water it was lovely, I did not climb my daughter did, the grounds are stunning well kepted, defo need water shoes it is a bit slippery he told me where to walk, take drinks with you, defo sunscreen, water case for your mobile/cell phone, I can not think of anything I did not like tbh have fun

I didn’t walk up the falls but there was still plenty to do and I really enjoyed our visit. A local guide took us to a place where we could see the rest of our group climbing the falls and took lots of photos of me and my husband. I couldn’t manage the steps down to the beach so the guide took my camera and took lots of photos for me.

The bus guide constantly asked everyone to make sure we all give her and the driver a good tip and even had the cheek to say if you don’t have cash she would show those who didn’t the atm machine this was repeated about 6 times! The falls are absolutely stunning. I had lots of fun however at the end the tour guides were super rude asking us for tips with “Do you have cash for me?”. They even waited outside the coach for people to tip them which I found it very intimidating and rude. I have travelled to lots of different countries and never seen anything like this before. The feeling of entitlement is unbelievable. Never ever again.

The waterfall walk itself was fantastic, the guides helpful and friendly and the waterfall was beautiful. Was very overcrowded and we were made to hold hands whilst negotiating our way up the falls which made many of us feel unsteady and unsure - several people fell. As soon as we stopped holding hands and could support ourselves properly, we were fine.

We were picked up on time only to find out we were sharing transport with another experience. When we arrived at Dunn’s falls there were no guides available as “ there were a lot of cruise ships in Jamaica “ on day of experience. We were told by guide to make our own way through falls and I ended up falling over 3 times due to not knowing the route to take and pathway being invisible due to colouration of water.

The falls themselves were great but this is advertised as a half day experience which it certainly isn’t. Our hotel is in Montego Bay . We were picked up at 7.50am as advertised but we didn’t arrive at the falls until noon due to the length of journey and the number of pick ups along the way. We then left the falls at 2.30pm and didn’t get back to our hotel until 5.30pm. Therefore for an experience that lasted 2.5 hours we spent 7 hours on a coach!!

In reality the trip was a lot longer than advertised with a lot of time spent on the coach. There was also an unecessary stop explained as a comfort break at a remote store which sold overpriced rubbish and staffed by aggressive rude locals There was also a large area occupied by hawkers at the end of the falls where you are corralled into and have to run the gauntlet again of extremely aggressive hawkers which spoiled the occasion. The coach driver was very friendly and informative, the guides were efficient friendly and professional. There was a little pressure to buy the videos and pictures but not too much. The least enjoyable aspect was when leaving you are directed past some vendors who are very persistent and reluctant to take no for an answer. The driver forewarned is of this which made it a bit easier to deal with as we were prepared. The experience rates highly regardless of this minor negativity. Recommended!

The falls themselves were amazing and great fun. The trip was advertised at 2-4 hours, I had no reason to research this. In another part, says half day tour. We spent 7 hours on a coach! There was no traffic etc. We was collected at 8.10 and still doing hotel pickups at 10am. Then we drove 15 minutes past the falls and forced to spend an hour at a gift shop (same as hotel shop and 1000s of others). We arrived and departed the falls in under 75 minutes. We left a family member alone at hotel.

The scenery was beautiful. Dunns River is a fabulous place to walk, but our guide seems intent to get us up to the top as fast as possible. I assume he gets paid per trip or so we were rushed through some of the areas where we could’ve taken nice pictures. The worst thing about the trip was the locals, selling, handmade gifts, badgering you and pestering you for money I got stopped by no less than four vendors, who is so insistent about me buying their wares. It has really put me off excursions.

She was so rude about me simply exchanging a locker, she sighed and huffed and puffed and kissed her teet and all she did was print out a new ticket and gave us a new key - nothing strenous. Pick up was timely and driver chatty. The falls are indeed spectacular and the local guides on hand are necessary to lead you safely up the falls from the beach. It is quite a hike but a lovely experience. TUI neglected to state there is a fee for the use of lockers. You will get wet to waist depth, so bring a waterproof bum bag for your camera etc. Take your own photos as and when you can. People are after tips so watch your money, they watch you, so be polite but robust.

Can't fault the experience there. But journey took 3hrs. The bus made pick-ups from hotels and the times meant we often arrived too early for the designated time for guests. At a hotel, we waited 25 mins. We also drove miles past the attraction turn off to go to a shop for those needing to buy rubber shoes etc. It was obvious that the selection of the shop stop added 20 mins to the journey. In effect, a 60-70 journey was 180mins. It spoilt the day. TUI's choice of provider should be revaluated.

Amazing experience, the falls were beautiful and the guides were very helpful and friendly. We got some amazing photos that we will treasure forever. The only issue for us was the fact that the bus stopped at no fewer than 9 other hotels, extending the journey time by about an hour each way. My wife ended up getting quite travel sick, and the excursion ended up taking up pretty much the whole day (when the experience itself was 1-2 hours).

Dunns river was amazing, we climbed up the waterfall and the guide let us slide down on one section and allowed us to get the best experience possible. The guide on the bus was excellent too, telling us about things along the way. We took water shoes, they stop off to let you purchase them on the way there. The only issue is the people on the way out of the park who try to sell you things, other than that I highly recommend going!

Finally got there after not being collected and having to rebook! Take good water shoes, it's very slippy in places but lots of fun. We thought we were spending a day under waterfalls and relaxing in pools not human-chaining and climbing up a beast of a fall! Ha!! Weather was lovely, water was too. Not to be missed half day trip! You’ll keep going back to the pictures you take of the falls and smile every time. You need to take some water shoes and a waterproof bag for your phone. It’s not too steep (you will slip a couple of times) but everyone helps each other. It’s just one of them places that you must visit when staying in Jamaica!

Wilson the guide was brilliant, every step of the way he kept helping and telling the whole group about where to step and what to be mindful of, he was very aware of the ones struggling and was very encouraging and helpful. Dunns river is a must see. You can buy a video of your climbed but it’s not personalised but the video man Norman said it was. But it still was a good video £40 dollars a pop but you do get a few photos as well. There is a chance to buy things at the end, just haggle a bit.

Climbing the waterfall was amazing, the guide really helped to make it safe and fun, although he was pushy for a tip. Beautiful place to visit, had a fantastic climb lasting about 75 mins. A bit choatic on arrival but we got organised eventually. Did not like the unnecessary stop off at a shop in Ocho Rios or the pushy sellers on the exit from the falls. Also the bus wasn't there to pick us up, we all had to wait.

Let's get the moan out of the way. All trips are not cheap. Right then, it was fantastic, seeing something as great as the falls. Wonderful. The guides where brilliant but don't forget water shoes as they are expensive at the site. You do need to be able to support yourself and you will be walking against running water but enjoy it

We were told not enough time to get food after climbing the falls even though we were picked up at 8.30 and it was now 1.30pm. We were put into groups with a tour guide. Our guide was very friendly and helpful. The downside was that the waterfall was EXTREMELY busy, with multiple groups trying to climb the falls so there is was a lot of waiting. FYI - you will need water shoes. Also take a waterproof phone case. Overall it was a good experience.

Ten hour day with eight of those spent travelling! We spent 2 hours at Dunn’s River Falls which was amazing! Don’t use TUI as there were multiple pickups to get get as many people on coach as possible with no thought for how long some people would be travelling. Also made a useless stop at a ‘shop’ which wasted another 40 minutes Don’t use TUI for this trip choose a more client friendly provider. 10 hrs far too long with 8 hrs travelling!

We really enjoyed the trip, however: 1) when we were travelling to the falls, we were dropped off at a gift shop for 30 minutes. This was clearly a money making scheme. The experience was fantastic, the location is a once in a Lifetime place to visit and the views are breathtaking. However, there could be more time spent at the bottom of the waterfall on the beach, to take photos and take it in, seeing as we’ve a lot of money for the experience. If you choose this experience, please take about $/£100 with you - the DVD of your visit is about £40 and then you have to exit via a market which can cost about another £40-60 if you choose to buy souvenirs.

Dunn River Falls was a great day out, we left about 10am and got back about 3pm, the price included the return coach trip with some interesting facts about Jamaica and some safety instructions about what to watch out for as a tourist, a tour guide who assisted in the climb and a photographer who made a video of it all, this cost $40, well worth it. Great Views and feel like you climbed a mountain. Thanks

The whole experience was amazing! The guide & photographer were brilliant. We would highly recommend this for everyone to do. My wife is not a fan of water and climbed it all because they made us feel safe. The only downside was being made to walk through the market at the exit when we wanted to avoid it and the hassle we had from vendors and what appeared to be homeless people begging. This was quite daunting even for myself, so I feel this could be very scary for some individuals.

The guide and actual excursion were great. The information about the trip and literature was extremely poor. To start with the e-ticket says redeem your ticket for a voucher from a rep but wait, there is no rep in our hotel so what do we do? Contact Tui via the app and get a standard response, contact Tui via email and get a auto response saying to wait 3-5 days for a response, call you using the number you provided which cost us almost £18 for 7 minutes. Tui this is not on. I get there is probably no need for a rep in hotels but make sure the information you provide is up to date. When I eventually got a response via the app I was told no reps because of covid but the pandemic started 2 years ago, are you telling me it takes 2 years to sort out your literature. Next is the checklist on what to take, it mentions suitable shoes, but no where in the description of the excursion does it mention that there will be climbing involved and specific shoes are needed. No where does it mention that if you don’t have these shoes you should take money so that you can buy them. Luckily we had enough cash on us to purchase the shoes, if we hadn’t it would have been very dangerous to do in the shoes that we had. Lastly, the time “2-4hours” well it was actually 6, 4 and a half of which was travelling and stopping at a gifts shop. The actual excursion was 1 hour. The simple answer to all of this is to update the information on the app and tickets. What should have been an exciting trip ended up becoming more stressful than it needed to be and ended up costing us £50 more than the trip we had paid for. When you had a rep in the hotel giving the welcome talk they would have given you all of this information but now there is nothing and booking/going on an excursion this time was stressful. We usually book with Tui once a year (apart from covid) and usually do a couple of excursions. I probably will not bother next time and I will be making a complaint.

Great value for money. Our bus guide was informative on route about the different parishes. Our guide up the fall was fabulous. I’m abit overweight but wanted to do the climb. Experience is great, it’s one to tick off. However, this is a shuttle bus service and does include entry to the park. The problem we had was our pick up was 10am and didn’t arrive until 11:30am despite staying less than 10 mins down the road from the park. The bus was picking up people from other hotels and going back and forth. To keep it objective we did still get 2.5 hours at the park but a pick up time is a pick up time. If you have your day planned out you’re likely to lose most of your morning. So it makes sense to book this at the hotel as there is another shuttle bus that takes people back and forth to these parks.

They jump on you with offers of carved wood or gifts that are “free” then try to fleece you for $50. Nothing is free, walk past and don’t get suckered in! Dunn’s river falls is an amazing trip. It was so fun climbing the falls and an experience you wouldn’t get many places in the world! I can’t fault the experience itself… the guides were brilliant, fun and took lots of photos on our phone for us. The only thing I would fault is the travelling time - it’s misleading. The trip says 2-4 hours in total but we spent roughly 4 hours just on the bus travelling to and from the falls (from Montego Bay) which was a lot longer than we were told. There were also quite a lot of pointless stops such as a stop to buy water shoes… if you didn’t bring any with you to the falls then you’re just silly surely? Apart from that; it was a great day out!

The tour itself was great, Dunn’s river is amazing and climbing the waterfalls was a good fun! However, the itinerary that we got from TUI was highly inaccurate. First, it said that the tour was 2 - 4 hours… this probably depends in which hotel you’re staying, but we got picked up at 8am and got back at 4:30pm!! Due to the misleading times, we didn’t take any food with us and got back to the hotel feeling ravenous. Second, in the description it says to bring “appropriate footwear”. If you don’t work out that this means water shoes, you will have to buy a pair before you go there. You will not be allowed to climb the falls in any other footwear so just be mindful of this.

Our driver was fab and gave us all the advice needed for the trip - how to behave when walking through the craft market at the end of the waterfall, what to expect etc. The waterfall was a fabulous experience. Loved it! Challenging in places but so beautiful. The staff at the waterfalls are very professional. Great tour. If children are under 10 and a tad nervous I would not recommend.

When we arrived at the bottom of the falls we weren’t sure if we were going to climb them. We were told we had 45 minutes to return to the coach. So rather than backtrack our way back up the steps we decided to climb the falls. We were quite out of breath when we reached the coach.

Great experience but let down by a lack of information regarding the trip. It didn't mention that you needed money for lockers (currently $8.O US) or that 1 of the guides videos the climb which you can buy for $40.00 US). As we thought we could leave our bag on the bus we took no money, which in hindsight was a mistake as we couldn't tip the quides either who were super, 1 (Clive) made sure our bag was safely stored for us and the other (Andrew) found my sunglasses after they'd been knocked off my head by the waterfall. Also our driver dropped off shoppers in Ocho Rios which lost us about 20 minutes and really you could do with more time not less at the falls as by the time we'd been registered and completed the climb it was time to be picked up with no time to look around the stalks on the way out.

The online booking process for the trip was awful and I wouldn’t recommend it. We had to book on the App to get the best price, but really missed being able to talk to anyone about the trip. Then there was a real hassle getting tickets printed for the trip which really ruined it - I don’t go on holiday for admin hassle, I go on holiday to get away from it. Finally, we has to share our tour bus with really loud Americans who were shooting their mouths off about taking drugs and getting drunk in front of my 4 children. The falls themselves were amazing.

Excellent trip although it’s quite a climb up the falls. Swimwear and swim shoes are a must as to enjoy the tour properly you get very wet and it’s nice to have dry clothes for the return trip. You can buy swim shoes at the falls and rent a locker to keep things in you don’t want to get wet.

Like all tours/trips in Jamaica, this isn’t an actual TUI experience - whilst booked through TUI, it’s provided by a local tour operator. The drive from the Bahia Principe to Dunns River Falls takes around 20-25 mins, during which the driver provided lots of info about the island. The driver also took care of the checking-in process at the Dunns River Falls and provided usual warnings about what to expect (e.g. lockers cost US$10 but you get $3 back when handing back the key; water shoes are a must so if you’ve not got some, but some before arriving else you’ll be charged US$10 per pair; the guides will follow you for a tip after the climb is completed - even to your locker or coach; you’ll climb in groups of 20-25; the videographer who records your climb will want US$40 per family for a copy of the video he takes of the climb; and be prepared to be hounded when walking through the flea-market on leaving). With all that said, the climb experience is absolutely fantastic. Our guide was excellent and made a breath-taking 760 foot climb even more fun. The climb itself is not too difficult - the guide makes sure people of all mobility are able to make the climb from the beach to the top of the falls. The water is not cold nor flowing too quickly and the path up the falls can be followed easily and was not slippy. Lots of photo opportunities along the way to record your memories. If you are only thinking of doing one trip whilst in Jamaica, please make this your priority. It is highly recommended. The only other comment, the tour arranged via TUI gets you to the falls before the cruise ship folk arrive, so you get to avoid the queues that do form in the days the ships are in port.

We absolutely loved this trip, our driver was on time and very friendly. Was abit chaotic when 1st arrived like none of the staff really knew what they were doing but once we were on beach and ready to start the whole experience changed. 1 of the best things I have ever done, I laughed so much and the guide and photographer were the best. Until that is when you get to the end. Out of our group only a handful of us tipped due to bags being left on coach instead of paying for lockers, I tipped then had the tour guide kick off that it wasn't enough. I wasn't with or know the other people in group so I wasn't going to tip extra on their behalf.

We had an max time climbing the falls. Our guides was Peter Wallace. He was fantastic. He helped everyone & made everyone feel safe. We love our photographer too he made it so much fun. We hate having our pictures taken but made us feel very comfortable.

Didn’t actually need a guide, saw people doing it alone. Which would of been nice to be able to choose your own route. Not enough info and importance on sea shoes required, some people got caught out and became a little Frustrating for them as they had not planned. Also not enough info on itinerary on what to do on the day also a change of clothing required for travel back .

If you get a tour guide that don't communicate is very boring . Thankfully other tour guides was fun and their raft was close by. That way we engaged with each other. Also bring music (Bluetooth music box). I thought we would have a chance to get into the water. But we was rushed back onto the bus. Bus was boring. No guide on there. No need for swimwear :-( definitely not worth this price.

We didn’t have a rep meet us at hotel there were lots of coaches picking up and we wasn’t sure which one we needed. Luckily we had a great coach driver from Anstar who took us to reception when we got there and booked us in. We didn’t have any cash for a locker and card machine wouldn’t work but a guide kindly let us leave our bag with them. Our guide Andrew and videographer for the tour were excellent and looked after the group and made it an unforgettable experience which I would highly recommend.

Dunns river was amazing! The only issue was before it, we were taken to the town to buy water shoes (given no option of renting them at the falls) and we were clearly taken to a shop where there was a partnership, with it selling rum, diamonds, souvenirs etc and everything being pushed on you. We spent an extra 30 mins or so here instead of heading straight to the falls. Furthermore, we were picked up at 8am and only got back after 3pm and where given no option to get lunch - would have been better to have been offered time to get food rather than faffing in the shop beforehand.

Amazing, terrifyingly brilliant! The guides are very helpful and friendly. Only criticism is being in the human chain makes it dangerous because you are being pulled in two directions. I nearly lost my balance a few times over this, and could of pulled my son down with me .
