What we expect

Embark on the ultimate taijne experience in Marrakech and master the art of tajine making starting directly from the market and arriving to the plate.

We will kick off the tour by teaching you the Arabic words for all the ingredients you'll need to cook the tajine. We will then go to the souks, the open air marketplace with all the freshest products, such as meat, vegetables, herbs and spices, for cooking Moroccan cuisine.

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience - from being guided through the souks, & given baskets to carry our freshly picked meat & vegetables. The Riad was beautiful. We sat together, equipped with chopping board & knife! Our genial host was fabulous; a real character! He explained the food prep & cooking process really well, along with bits of history & tradition. The food was delicious & our host kindly sent us away with a little wicker basket of herbs & spices. Don’t miss this one… Fantastic!

Alles aan deze activiteit was leuk, eerst naar de soeks met de gids (waar we alle ingrediënten hebben gehaald. Daarna zijn we naar de riad van Karima, de kok gegaan waar zij Marrokkaanse muntthee heeft gemaakt, met uitleg erbij. Daarna hebben we een tajine, een salade en een dessert gemaakt. Alles werd heel goed uitgelegd en het resultaat was heerlijk. Echt een top dag gehad.
